I knew that vinegar was a versatile cleaning product, but until recently after browsing through a book about the 100s of uses for vinegar, I didn't realise just how useful it was in other areas. These are a couple of vinegar uses I intend to try.
A 3 part vinegar, 1 part water mix wiped over car windows at night is said to keep them frost free in the morning. Not exactly apt for this time of year, but this is one I'll remember. I have a nightmare with my old car and frost through the winter months. I thought of putting the mixture in a spray bottle and keeping it my car.
Cleaner washing. Apparently, a 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar added to the final rinse acts as a fabric softener, prevents static and yellowing, removes soap residue and attacks mould and mildew.
