There is a new H&M customs phishing email making the rounds. The link takes you to a website that is used for phishing attacks. They put up realistic spoof sites. In the past they used the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Here is the phishing email

Tax Refund Notification

After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity, we have determined that you are
eligible to receive a tax refund of 188.50 GBP. Please submit the tax refund request and allow
6-9 days in order to process it.

Note : A refund can be delayed a variety of reasons, for example submitting invalid records or
applying after deadline.

As with all of these scams, the principal objective is to obtain further information. That information will eventually accumulate to the extent that put together a deduction can be made from the "scamee's " account.
Any request for personal information in order to send me a payment is obviously a scam - anybody can send me a cheque when they feel like it.
