Hi there
What do you do if you've been charged twice for one item? I purchased a £50 jacket in a sale on Saturday, along with about 20 other items and didn't realise until I got home that I've been charged twice for the jacket. I intend to return to the shop and explain my problem but what are my rights? What if they imply that I'm lying? Any advice gratefully received!

Hi Karen,

I am afraid you will be relying on their goodwill. There was a lady who was going round the country buying two items and claiming she was charged twice - she made £60,000 doing this. This proves that most shops will do it or because of this they might think you are trying to scam them.
