A long lost relative has left you a lot of money! That would be nice but I know it is a scam. I have no relatives with a lot of money. In fact this is one of the oldest online scams.

A victim responded to one of this phishing emails that said she would inherit a fortune. She responded even though she never heard of this "relative". These are the emails she received.

What is wrong with them?

1.The email is from a free email account - hotmail or yahoo
2. The victim has never heard of this person
3. They don't address her by name or mention any personal information.
4. They don't ask for any identification or proof of family relations
5. The language is odd it doesn't sound right.
6. They talk about the High Court - which they don't have in Spain
7. Their isn't a bank "Banco De La Caixa"
8. UK companies are Ltd or Plc but Spanish Companies are SA
9. The "barrister" doesn't provide you his contact details.
10. Finally, to open the bank account and receive all this money all you have to...

You've inherited a fortune!
