Hi all

I own a VW Golf TDI which was registered at the end of February 2006. The manufacturers 3 year/60000 mile warranty ran out therefore at the end of February this year (2009) My car has developed a fault in October 2009 with the flywheel at only 37000 miles. The estimated cost of repair is £1500. Could anybody please advise me of my rights under the Sales of Goods Act? The flywheel is classed as a drivetrain component, so could I argue that the drivetrain is unfit for purpose? I.e. you would expect it to be more durable!

Thanks for your help, as I am expecting a fight with the dealer!
