we bought a sanyo 32 in lcd tv from asda aug 07. we paid 499.00.4 weeks ago it flashed off an on twice and now nothing happens.we have blue light at the bottom only. i found the receipt and contacted adsa as i have been told that we should expect them to at least repair the item as we have a right to expect it to last longer than this. asda have said there is only 12mth warranty on tvs. do we have a case to ask them to replace or repair the tv at least. we dont feel this was cheap tv.

Absolutely, stick with it. The warranty is irrelevant as this is in addition to your statutory rights. Remember they might offer you a refund that takes into account the usage you have had and the replacement doesn't need to be new it can be like-for-like.

Good luck

just spoke to asda specialist team who have said we have to write in and they would look at it carefully but asda policy is that they have 12 mth warranty.we have just ben told that we have to prove that item was faulty within warranty period at our cost. can you plse advise
