We've warned several times this year about phishing scams which purport to offer you a tax rebate (here, here and here). In fact, emails that appear to come from the taxman are really from fraudsters on the hunt for sensitve...

I've had two such e-mails in the last month, offering me a combined tax rebate of nearly £900.

Being self-employed, I am on top of my tax issues, and know that its not true.

One tip I can give people, the e-mail seems to have an attached pdf.html file, this is not a usual file extention and almost certainly takes you to a phishing website.
