Friesian horses are beautiful and expensive so when someone advertises one for £3,200 you know something is dodgy. There are scammers offering the same horse on numerous sites at a low price. The prices and descriptions change but the price is always low compared to the £8,000 you might expect to pay.

The scammers ask for money up front for updating the horse's vaccinations, paperwork etc. They may offer to have the horse delivered to you. They will no doubt ask for the money to be sent by wire transfer (Western Union or Moneygram).

Scammers will give you a sob story on why they are letting their horse go so cheaply and they will tell  you "All they want is for it to go to a good home".

The saying "if it is too good to be true" holds true with this scam. If the price of the horse is too low be suspicious.
