Swine flu will be in the news a lot this autumn with the rise in cases and the availability of a vaccine. The criminals are again using the "hot" news topics to target consumers. There are four common swine flu scams.

Websites that are offering to sell Tamiflu with out a prescription. These links generally take you to a fake Canadian pharmacy site. You order the product but it never arrives or worse they send fake pills. There are hundreds of other sites offering products for sale that claim to diagnose, prevent, mitigate, treat or cure the 2009 H1N1 influenza virus. If you want to mitigate Swine Flu wash your hands frequently or buy hand sanitizer from your local pharmacy - not mail order.
Spam via email or social networks sites such as Twitter. Criminals use attention grabbing headlines "Doctors won't have swine flu shot" "Swine flu reaches pandemic" to get you to click on a link. That link takes you to either a fake drug site or a site that downloads...
