On Saturday Night/Sunday morning I was stopped at a red light. A car crashed into the back of my car, she did not see me and made no attempt to brake. Driver had been drinking and has been charged by police. My policy does not include a couresty car. I have a 13 week old baby (thankfully was not in car) and need a car to get to weekly clinic appointments. It is Wednesday night and have not yet heard from my insurance company (Tesco) if my car can be repaired or not. Should the drink drivers insurance company provide me with a courtesy car? Should I request this from my insurance company. I have never been involved in an accident before and not sure of correct procedures.

Any advise would be gratefully received.

Thanks Kaz

Hi Kaz,

Your insurance company should offer you a car and then recover the money from the other insurance company.
