The Scottish Government is announcing that their scheme to expand the opening hours of GPs has been successful, with more than half of practices saying they will extend their hours.

Anyone seen any changes locally? And how does this compare to what's happening elsewhere in the UK?

This is a great idea. I wish they would do the same at my local surgery. I heard it is being considered.

I agree with Tony, I think a system like this would help people who work traditional "9-5" working days, who often cannot get to their doctors, without taking time off work. It's whether it would put undue extra pressure on the GP's that would be my main area of concern.
