Is anybody surprised by this? Is this something else that is going to rock the boat just as confidence seemed to be returning?

The more I read about it (and to be honest I find it hard to understand the colossal amounts of money they're talking about) it just gets more and more worrying. And Greece to follow Iceland. I would say who next, but there isn't anyone left is there? If you had money at the moment where would you invest it? Not that I do. It's purely a theoretical question.

I guess the UK stock market is probably an ok place to invest if you're able to invest over the long term, its already about 50% higher than it was a year ago.

Or Savings with UK banks, but no more than £100k in each bank as that is the limit the government will guarantee.

Actually can I take that back. Don't think confidence is returning. I'm starting to read the papers properly and am shocked by all the figures. Even if I had any money I'm not sure what I would be confident investing in at the moment.
