Debt sold to collection agency

I have a disputed debt with o2, which i am refusing to pay. They have sold the debt to a collection agency.

My question is do i have to pay this company as i never signed a credit agreement or contract with them.

I'm in Scotland.

Any help much appreciated

Surely if you haven't signed anything then you don't? How come you didn't have to have an agreement with them I thought that was the norm?

I had an agreement with o2 but not with company that are chasing the debt, i never at anytime signed a credit agreement.

I'm sure there must be somewhere in the small print that they can pass the debt on to another company and that you're obliged to pay them. Sorry, I thought you meant you had no agreement which struck me as very odd. But good luck in getting it sorted anyway.
