Hi,

I bought a car from a dealer in September 09. Since then the back
window demisters have not worked and neither has the CD multi disc changer. Would these qualify under the Sale of Goods Act 1979. There are other things wrong with the car that the dealership "claim" they are trying to solve, but they are disputing that the 2 above problems are their responsibility to repair.

Please help, as Iwould love to go back to them with a good argument!

Thanks

Tony

It depends how old the car is, what you paid, condition etc. If you only paid £10 then you wouldn't be covered.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for getting back to me. It's an 04 Rover, andwe paid £6000 for it which is pretty much the going rate, if not a little above. It was certainly bought by us on the premise that the car was in good condition and that all these types of things work. Can you help?
