Hi,

My PS3 has just stopped working. I think the problem is with the blu-ray as many other people on this forum have reported.

I purchased the PS3 from amazon.co.uk and I have written to them today using the sample letter but I don't anticipate getting any joy based upon other posts on this forum.

However, as I purchased the PS3 with a credit card can I not pursue the card issuer for the cost of the replacement/refurbishment (Sony have quoted £131)?

If I can, where do I start?

Hi Stuart,

Give them a ring and tell them you want to make a Section 75 claim. Don't expect it to be easier dealing with them compared to Amazon. They will insist on an engineers report for sure to determine that the device had an inherent fault when it was manufactured.
