Company making difficulties about faulty PC

Hi,

I bought a PC online from Ebuyer.com and it failed after 6 months. I sent it back (they paid for the courier) under warranty more than 3 weeks ago. It is unrepairable, they say, and there is no replacement. I can get an alternative PC for £35 more but it is unsuitable to me.

I asked for my refund to be paid into my bank account rather than a credit note because I don't want to use Ebuyer again and now they are saying I can have only a partial refund.

I have been without my PC since 29th January and it was only after I chased them three times that they told me the PC was unrepairable and that there was no replacement.

Please can you tell me if:

1 - am I entitled to a full refund;

2 - I need not accept a credit note;

3 - I am entitled to some kind of compensation because it has taken them so long to deal with the problem (or at least I can use this as a bargaining chip to get a full refund)?

Thanks very much for your help,
Gordon Imroth.

All fixed. After some argument, Ebuyer.com gave me my money back.

Can someone please tell me how to delete the original post?
