Walking out of my house the other day I found my car covered in stickers warning me not to move it. The car wasn't immobilised so I did, but got hubby to call the number to find out it wasn't a scam but the bailiffs acting as he (husband) had apparently parked on a box junction and ignored the original letter and fine. The bailiff came around the next morning to take payment from me - now a whopping £523. fine but told me that I could phone Northampton Court to ask for a form disputing the whole thing as we never heard back that our orginal appeal against this failed. Only to be told that once you have paid the fine the case is closed and there can be no appeal!!! I'm so angry - we only paid the fine to stop the car being towed away and assumed we would at least be able to fight this one out - so hold on to your wallets people and don't pay up at all if you're going to dispute. Thanks for listening ...
