I had a car accident last week, I was on a dual carriageway (two lanes of traffic in either direction, separated by a barrier). I was travelling down the dual carriageway and saw a car parked in front of a bus stop dropping off a passenger. I was in the left hand indicating left to turn off dual carriageway. As I began turning left, the parked car simply pulled away without indicating into the side of my car.
The driver was abusive and threatening, I was in shock and felt scared so I called the police. The police wouldnt come out but advised me to get details and report it to the police station.
I reported this to my insurance company who immediately referred me to a non-fault repairers. I have now been told a week later that she is disputing liability (not altogether surprised)
Surely this is incorrect I was driving and she pulled into me, in addition she was parked on a dual carriageway which doesnt have a hard shoulder. Can anyone have any ideas about this and possible advice?
