Hi Everyone,
I am a new member and just wanted to ask your advice.
I bought a bolero for my daughters communion from a bridal boutique.
The one they tried on her in the shop was too big so the owner pinned it and explained that this was how it would look if I ordered the smaller size. I was happy with this so paid (had to pay up front). After waiting 7 wks it finally arrived but when I bought it home & tried it on my daughter it was way too big and not at all like the shop said it would be. The receipt says no refunds offered which is fine I am happy to exchange it for something else as I cannot chance waiting another 7 wks for yet another size which also may not fit. The shop are not happy to exchange for another item and suggest I pay them to alter the bolero. I am not happy to do this as I feel that they mis sold this to me. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you spoken to the shop manager, or someone with authority at the shop? I'm sure they wouldn't want to lose any future business from you, or risk damaging there reputation. Often, junior workers are reluctant to make exchanges, offer refunds etc.
