Scammers use the scams that have been successful in the past. This is just another example. We have a package worth $850k that you didn't know was yours! We are going to send this to a stranger unless you give us a list of personal information.

What the scammers are really saying is: "Please fill in the information we ask below so we can steal your identity".

After we get  your information we will tell we can send the $850k to you BUT you have to pay a fee. What the scammer is really thinking "they fell for the first half of the scam so lets try and get some money out of them"

Scammers often try to scam a victim more than once. What are the clues on this scam?

How Federal Express get your email - you don't put people's email on packages.
They don't address you by name.
They don't seem to know your address either!
The English is awkward
The phone number is +234 is for Nigeria - now that isn't really a surpise!
