How Do I Stand?

Posted 23rd January 2012 at 02:08 PM by Wallieeee

I purchased 2no brand new wiper blades from a car store that fitted them for me, just before Christmas.

I don't use my car that much at the best of times and the times I have driven, it wasn't raining.

Whilst travelling up the m6 in the rain whilst overtaking in the 3rd lane the driverís side wiper just flew off, leaving me with very limited visibility to move across to the slow lane and safely onwards to the nearest travel stop.

Luckily I kept the "good" blade that was removed so was able to put this on otherwise I would have had to phone the RAC.

I did check the other blade and the fitting on that is loose, so could lose that at some point

How do I stand with my legal rights with going back to the store with my complaint?

I went back to the car shop Saturday and they replaced the remaining wiper connection free of charge and are also ordering a new replacement wiper for the one that is currently enjoying life in the middle of the m6 Free also.
