Default What are my rights?

Yesterday I bought a pair of boots in shiny, patent leather because the sales assistant told me that the boots only came in the patent leather. When I came home I searched on the internet and found that the boots are also produced in matte, regular leather. I called the store to ask if I could get a refund based on the erronous information that they had provided, but they refused instantly.

What are my rights in this situation? Is the store obliged to refund the boots or should I merely have checked myself beforehand?

Regards,
Tore Madsen

I would have thought your rights were very limited as the boots are not faulty. I would also have thought though, that if you do not wear the boots and keep all the packaging/labels etc., the store, if it is reputable, would accept the return and give you a credit note - it's worth a personal visit which is more productive than calls oftentimes!
