Default Forums under threat

Apparently forums and sites with comments boards are being forced to re think their posting policies in the wake of a spate of trolls and pestering marketeers.

The strange thing is that hit rates arent really being affected. Does this mean the whole 'comment is free' craze is a bit pointless?

Default Trolls

Yes trolls are a problem, but there are measures you can take as a forum owner to limit the impact. On this forum you have to post at least 10 posts before you can provide links, most links are nofollow which means the search engine spiders will ignore them, and registration is required.
