Default Discount supermarkets 'save you 20%'

Shoppers could save up to a fifth on their grocery bill by switching to a discount supermarket

This is nothing new. The problem is they don't have the range of goods that we are used to and you end up having to go to multiple shops - meaning more time and hassle.

Has anybody tried this? mySupermarket - mySupermarket - Compare Supermarket Prices ? MySupermarket the supermarket comparison site

I am not sure how accurate it can be - how can they compare own label brands.

Yeah for sure. It has alaways been the case that if you go to various specific shops you will save money. We have returned to a local fruit veg shop mainly because quality is better, though prices are also cheaper.

If you do go to Aldi, you must get the chocolate brioche, mmmmmmmmmm
