Default Easyjet passenger numbers way up!

I dont get this...

Have we just not figured out how to save our money yet? Or are the rich really slumming it?

I think that perhaps the terrible summer at home played a part in things. I think people were just so desperate to see some summer sun, they grabbed a last minute flight with one of the low cost airlines for a week or weekend away.

Also, things are so expensive in this country now, that it is as cheap to fly somewhere and book a hotel / villa or camp, as it is to do something similar in this country and at least you are guaranteed better weather.

I think you are right Ian - there was a jump in last minutes holidays as people were/are so fed-up with the weather...
