Argos (previously advertised at this price)

I spotted somthing of interest the other day in the Argos clearace catalogue. Basically, it had the clearance items with the sale price and the saving, but underneath in brackets it said - previously advertised at this price. This is really great for consumers and I guess there must be some new legislation that has forced Argos to do this. If not, then hats off to Argos.

Does anybody know whether there has been a change in the way sale item are marked up?
