I recently bid (and won) an auction for a second-hand car on Ebay in the UK....however, my personal circumstances changed after I placed the bid and I would no longer like to go through with sale. The seller had a clause that stated that the the sale would be void if no response was received within 24 hours of the auction closing.
Hi Marc,

Welcome to the forum. I think the answer is "it depends". Did you make a promise to buy the car after the 24 hour period? Was it from a private seller on Ebay or a trader?
