Default Problems with used car

I hope someone is able to help.

I bought a used mazda in July 2009 and seem to have faults with it. To be sure of the faults I need to pay mazda to have a look at it. If my fears are confirmed and I need a new engine, can i ask the dealer who sold it to me to pay for the costs? Also, I put it on a set of ramps to inspect it as the car was vibrating a lot. I discovered that the engine mounts have failed on the car! Is there anything I can do about it.

I bought the car from a small independant dealer and am unsure of my rights. I hope someone can help.

Many Thanks.

I'm not an expert on this subject, but I would go back to the dealer and sak them to put it right, they should have carried out extensive checks on the car before selling it, as long as you have not been off roading in it, they may help you with the repiars.
