 Help me Please. Car Deposit Refund
Hey all a little advise please as all the other posts are not exactly the same as mine.
I went to view a car and paid a £250 deposit but only paid it subject to a verbal contract the it would be refundable aslong as I found the amount for the car on finance with them or by my own means.
I could not get finance through their company so went about finding it myself.
2 weeks passed and I was having no luck until I was told by a loan company that I was successfull and that I would have the money in my account within 3days.
I then told the garage this news, however to find out a 2 days later that it was a scam and that I was not successful.
I have now cancelled buying the car only to be told that I cant receive my deposit back. But with my verbal contract and the fact that it was subject to a 3rd party financing the amount I am getting the impression I should be able to reclaim my deposit?
