Happened to mine once, was because of forceful connections. If you are careful not to remove the lightning cable to hard and dont mend the cable too much you shouldnt have any issues.

Just wanted to share a solution to my charging problem. Very quickly my phone developed a problem where I couldn't get it to charge. The connector didn't feel sloppy, but if I twisted it to the side, I could get it to make a connection. However, if I let go or bumped the phone it would immediatly disconnect.

Have you checked the wire? Wires are usually the problem if phone fails to charge. But if you want to rule it out, you can always try using a different charger.
