Default Microsoft Windows Live

I've been looking around for a central storage solution for ages, and have decided to start using Microsoft Office Live. Anyone else using it? It seems to be great value. It's free for the first year and £7.99 a year thereafter. I needed somewhere to host my website, share my documents, and centralise my contacts and so far it's been able to handle it all. Of course, it also offers collaboration with all the Microsoft Office suite of products too.

I've yet to see a downside, but then I haven't started using it to its full potential yet.

Hi shalloram,

You should try Google it is free - http://www.google.com/apps/

They are supposed to be launching Gdrive soon that will provide storage in the cloud.

Microsoft are already doing this with Skydrive - 25GB of free online storage with Skydrive, password protected, share and upload your files, sign-up on Windows Live

25Gb and 50mb max file size.

There is also Microsoft Mesh that is in Beta that allows you to syn files across multiple PCs securely and they are all safe (?) in the cloud.

Only provides 5gb but better functionality - https://www.mesh.com/Welcome/Default.aspx

Tony

I would use Google Apps, but I love the integration between Office Live and Office 2007. Microsoft seem to be really going all out with the Office Online development.

Might take a look at SkyDrive though as that sounds pretty good. I'm going to need more storage at some point. Thanks for that, will check it out.
