I have just joined, my name is Fedene. Looking for some advise.
:)
I took my mother(85 years young) to the hairdressers in the high street yesterday. On the shop front door, it clearly states 'cut & blow dry £20'

My mother sat down and the owner suggested just a dry cut, dampening the hair with water and then a cut. I saw that they were busy, so agreed.
The cut took 12 mins. No washing of my mothers hair, no blow dry.

When I went to pay, I was asked for £35. I said, that can't be right, you advertise on the door, £20 for 'Cut and blow dry'
She told me that: 'oh, that is with a trainee, and the trainee couldn't have possibly cut your mothers hair like that' (indicating the little trim my mother had just had) I said, that 'you didn't even wash my mothers hair', owner replied, ' I'll wash it now, if you want' !!
The owner didn't even ring the sale up on the till, she just put the money in a box beside her.
I did not want to cause a scene with my mother with me. But can anyone tell me of my rights. Can I go back and dispute this service ?
Thanking you all in advance, for some advice
