In November 2013 I bought an IPad from very.co.uk which has recently stopped working. I took it to Apple for a diagnostic report and they said that the fault most likely happened during the manufacturing process. I sent the report to Very and they have stated that they will not provide a replacement but will issue a refund minus 40% usage deduction for the 2 years that I have been using the IPad.

Does anyone have any advice on this matter because I only want a replacement and do not want a partial refund because it is then going to cost me money to pay for the difference? As Apple have accepted a manufacturing fault and then Very sold the faulty item to me should Very be required to replace the item free of charge?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If Apple have accepted the manufacturing fault then I think you might be covered under the Consumer Act. I recommend reaching out to the Consumer Ombudsmen or going straight to Apple rather than dealing with Very.
