I bought an item off eBay, I lost the vat receipt sent with the item, I paid via PayPal, the seller will not replace or repair the item if I don't produce the vat receipt he sent. He wants to charge me for a replacement part, I bought the item on Aug 2015 and reported the fault Feb 2016. I would like to know where do I stand. I have proof of purchase and as I believe the I should still be within my 1-year man warranty as long as I have proof of purchase, The seller told me he does not keep a copy of receipts so I sent him my PayPal payment receipt. So di I have to pay for replacement parts of does the seller have to replace or repair the part?
