Today I recieved three phone calls from 01159338000 in half an hour. It was an automated msg service. the msg was "You have a free msg, press 1 to listen to msg, press 9 to reject msg" No identification of caller. I didn't press any number just hung up fearing I would be connected to a premium rate number. After doing some investigating I found the service is legit, and a lot of companies are using it. Asda, Apple, Specsavers, and United Utilities are some of them.
I found people online frightened to answer their phone thinking they were being targetted by scammers. I found people who have recieved calls from this number at five am on a Sunday morning.
This is an appalling way to contact customers. I have posted on here in the hope it will save people from worrying when being bombarded by calls from this number.
