I recently had my eyes tested at a well known eye specialist which on the results they told me i needed new glasses, that was no problem i ask them for a printout so i can get my clay shooting glasses brought up to date, so i sent off all results ( photo copy ) to a firm that specialize in shooting glasses when i received them i could not see clearly through them so i waited till my new ones came from the well known specialist were i had my eyes tested and put them on and could not see a thing and now they are going to retest my eyes, that's no problem my problem is i paid £140.00 for my shooting glasses that are no good to me, So can anyone tell me if i could claim from this well known specialist for the cost of my shooting glasses as they got it all wrong.

Oh dear.
In this instance I would say yes, as this would be classed as a 'consequential loss' to you under the Law of Negligence - this however would only be correct if they admit their wrong doing - performing the eye test incorrectly / giving you the incorrect prescription.

Feel free to name and shame if you'd like, we do see some companies making contact with customers on here.

If they do admit the fault / negligence, write a letter to head office, explain the situation, and request the £140 for a new pair... Again.
And of course when you get your lenses changed by the company, you should not incur any costs.

Hope this helps.
