I purchased a child's toy back in sep 2011 but apparently they never took the money unbeknown to me. 5 months later they are asking for the money. Can they do this? Do I have a right to say sorry too late?

It is rather a long time but if you order something you are legally obliged to pay for it, do you have statements to prove they didn't take the payment?

That's what I need to find out. Will have to get old statements from my bank.

The bank may charge you per statement, if this is the case you need to make a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act, they will then have to give you all the data they hold on your account going back 6 years, I think they can only chatge you £20 but I'll check that andccome back to you.
