Hi in february i took my car to have new brakes pads fitted to the front, and got quoted £40 when i went back to pickup the car i had to pay £120 i asked why, and got told that they found another problem and had done the work,although i did not give them permision to do the other work i had to pay for it as they had the keys, some 4 weeks later i was involved in a collision, wher i was hit from the rear, after that i noticed a warning light on, my insurance company sent out an engineer to view the damage, and in his report states that the brakes are worn due to wear and tare, and it was his advice that when i have my next service, i change the brake pads, i said they are only 4 wks old, and he said i dont think so because they are to worn, any advice would be helpfull please.
