I'm thinking of a conservatory from Tradeprice [aka 'Karl'] I sent basic plans for a 4m x 5m, part lean-to, and he estimated £6000 - good price. The idea is he provides detailed plans for £50, I build the base as per his plans, then on payment of £3000 he constructs the body. I pay the balance on delivery & assemble what he sends. Sounds ideal, but is it too good to be true. His site is full of testimonials and pics of others' self-builds. When I street-view his 'show site' I notice it has another company's banners up, and this other company also has pics of the same show site. Maybe he runs under multiple company names? Local Trading Standards are not helpful. If he has ripped people off would I be able to find out? Has anyone any ideas - or good/bad news of him?
