I recently purchased a 53 plate renault scenic from a garage last month and all seemed ok for the first two weeks. Then i began to notice excessive smoke from the exhaust. I took the car back to the garage and the said it was the glow plugs which the replaced staright away.
The today I took the car for its first long drive to visit some family and the car started to make loud banging noises from the engine bay so I pulled over and called the RAC (as it came with three months warrenty and breakdown cover). The recovery guy thinks that there is come mechanical failure inside the engine and towed me home.
I would like to know if I am able to claim my money back on this vehicle or if the garage has to be aloud to fix the car. What are the options that are available to me in this as I need my car to get to work.
