Ok, so here's the situation...
About 4 years ago, I bought an Xbox 360 from the retailer Game. A few months ago it stopped functioning properly. The problem is that the console overheats and all video output is lost due to this after a matter of minutes. Not thinking I was covered any more for replacement or repair, I just accepted that it's dead.

Recently though, a friend of mine told me about the Sales of Goods Act, so I decided to write an e-mail to Game telling them my situation, hoping that they would promptly replace my broken 360. To my disappointment though, they have shunned my claim saying that 4 years is reasonable for a £300 Xbox 360 to last.

Now, this seems a bit of a grey area to me as to who's side the law would be on and basically I'm seeking advice as to whether I should pursue this issue more or just accept they they're not going to replace it?

Personally I would say its reasonable to expect something of such high value to last longer than this.
