FTSE heading for fall like 1987

We live in interesting times. A financial expert in the paper over the weekend was suggesting that it was a good time to buy shares. I hope nobody took his advice!!!!

I was doing a lot of driving today so had the radio on, and all afternoon they were covering the story about the Prime Minister and the Bank of England being potentially about to pump lots more money into the banks. They kept wheeling out "financial experts" to comment, and I have to say most of them talked complete drivel. I'm fairly sure that one of them said, in response to a question about whether the government should keep giving the banks money, "This isn't the time to ask whether or not it will work, we just need to get on and do it!"

I'm fairly convinced that absolutely nobody has a clue what's going on, nor will they have until the dust settles.
