Hi,

My brothers PS3 failed yesterday, wont read disks, CDs or DVDs, I contacted GAME and explained despite being out of warranty I wanted to use my statutory rights under the sales of goods act, which after some argument they agreed.

However most his Xmas presents are PS3 related and GAME's repair method would take 4 weeks. Without me knowing my mum contacted sony and has paid the £130.00 to replace it.

Under the sales of goods act, can i claim damages/consequential loss from GAME as I've read about if they offer you an inadequate solution you can claim some retribution.

Some advice would be massively appreciated, I'm happy to fight my point an have complained to many companies before with success using the Sales of Goods Act, Data Protection Act and others so will roll up my sleeves in I must.

Thanks
