Has anyone come across this before? My daughter has been sent a handwritten apparently genuine cheque from BT for a large sum of money. She says the envelope was handwritten to her personally at her address and in spite of her spending almost an hour on the phone to BT they are also puzzled as to why she has been sent it. She has her phone and broadband through bt and pays by direct debit but the amount sent to her is quite considerable. The customer service people in billing are investigating it.
