I purchased a Ford Cmax 1.6 Turbo diesel from a dealer on finance last year in September and in January the turbo 'blew' even though we had only done 1700 miles in it. We had an independent report on the car and was told that the turbo had been starved of oil causing it to fail. We were told that under the amended Sales of goods Act we could approach the finance company and the dealer to solve the problem. They both agreed that the car would be fixed but now our mechanic has told us that the problem that caused the turbo to fail has originated with the engine which in turn, has caused two new turbos to fail.

Am I right in saying that as the fault originated in the engine and not with the turbo the dealer has to either get the car fixed properly or can I cancel my agreement with the finance company and give the car back.

I'm so confused and I don't have the money to get it fixed anyway. Can anyone help??
