Hi i have made a claim under section 75 of the consumer credit act i used my credit card to the tune of £3000 pounds to purchase a car costing over £10,000 for my girlfriend.
The car is in her name along with the invoice, my barclaycard statement clearly shows i used my card to assist with the purchase, so surely i have a vested interest after just 18 months of ownership the engine failed there is an inherent design fault on the vehicle!!
I have tried to claim under section 75 but barclaycard are saying they are not interested as the invoice and car are not in my name and we don't live together at my address where the card is registered.
I have been insured to insured to drive the car from the moment it was purchased and have spent thousands of pounds of my own money in order to purchase the car just because we don't live together , we can't for family care reasons i don't see how Barclaycard can deny any liability.
