Scam artist use many different organisations to win the trust of victims including FBI, IRS, Banks and now Oprah Winfred.
The FBI have issued a warning on the latest phishing emails is titled "Oprah Millionaire Contest"
The phishing e-mail says that you've been nominated to attend the millionaire contest where 20 people in the audience will compete for a $1 million prize.
In order to attend the show the scam asks for personal information, in the hopes that you will send thousands of dollars for plane tickets and hotel rooms so you can attend the taping of the show.
It is all lies of course there is no "Oprah Millionaire" show. Tickets to attend the Oprah show are difficult to get but they are free of charge. The show does not sponsor travel packages.
