I just wanted to know if anybody out there had had monitors fitted to their meters and whether they found that seeing what their output was each day had had any beneficial effect. I am thinking about doing this so I become more aware of what our usage is and try to think about switching things on and off, running water, etc a little bit more. I think if you manage to reduce your consumption by 20 % after one year Southern Electric credit you back £25 although I'm not sure if this is for gas or electricity or both. Does anybody think this will work in saving me a few pennies ....?
