Many storage companys' 'terms and conditions' include that if payments are in arrears for a short time - less than a month - they have the right to break open the strorage unit and auction the goods to recover their outstanding charges.
As an auction will only recover a commercial amount for the goods, not the personal value, it seems harsh.
Does that kind of clause comply with law? Does anybody have an idea.
