I really don't understand the whole ID card thing. If it's portable it's loseable so there will have to be a system for replacement/copy which will mean inherent fraud risk. If it's bigger than very portable it's a passport and I have one already! (at great cost). This is the 21st century - isn't it time we had retina scanners and voice recognition?
